Dear LORD
Make each of us a great tree in a vast forest of faith; that we may savor every season; and survive every storm. We are but tiny, fallen acorns; sometimes adrift in the wind; sometimes sprouting in a wilderness. Make of us great trees: plant our roots in the solid and sustaining earth of your Word. Lift up our branches to the everlasting sunlight of heaven. Fill our high places with the blossoms of your promise, so that all who behold us may find refuge in your canopies of peace and love. AMEN. [Prayer by Richard Daggett]
